Welcome To Pondicherry State Co-operative Consumers’ Federation

The Pondicherry State Co-operative Consumers’ Federation Limited No.P.429 (CONFED) is registered on 10th March 1983 by the Registrar of Co-operative Societies as Co-operative Society under Sub-Section (1) of Section 9 of Pondicherry Co-operative Societies Act, 1972 (Act 7 of 1973).

MAIN OBJECTS

1. To make bulk procurement of Consumer goods from within the State and other states mainly for sale and supply to affiliated societies and arrange for proper storage, packaging, grading and transporting of such goods.
2. To function as agent of Government and undertaking in Public, Private and Cooperative Sectors for the distribution of controlled and other consumer goods and to import consumer goods from aboard in suitable circumstance on behalf of the affiliated societies and other cooperatives.
3. To own and Administer Regional Distribution Centre: In furtherance of the aforesaid objects, the Federation shall be at liberty.
   1. To accept agency of any persons or firm or Government for wholesale agency in consumer goods.
   2. To become a member of the National and State Level Federation and Union.
   3. To undertake retail business and to run departmental stores.
